Bamfield Salmon Fishing report for the past week. Salmon fishing has been quite good in most areas around Bamfield. This past weekend saw the Sproat Lake Loggers spring chinook derby kick off the start of Salmon fishing for nearly 500 participants. The top fish were 20.8, 16.5, and 15.5 pounds, pretty respectable for the first week of March. I’m sure almost everyone went home with salmon.
